Police swung into action against those who, despite knowing what catastrophe Coronavirus has globally created to human lives, economies and daily routine of people , took restrictions imposed by authorities, only in our own interest, very casually. The thumb rule is that if one does not discipline oneself especially when it concerned one’s life and survival , the arm of law should enforce discipline through its various ways. One of it was registering as many as 60 FIRs in Jammu , Samba and Poonch districts against violators of the orders of the District Authorities. Not only that, 124 vehicles too were seized for violating the order.
The other part of the story is that authorities have made elaborate arrangements in ensuring supplies of essentials like medicines, vegetables, milk, rice , atta, fruit and that facilities for home shopping too were made available . Desirous customers could avail of the facility by contacting the specific telephone numbers. We appreciate “Ghar Delivery Programme ” initiated following directions from the SSP , Jammu but it should be more visible and available not only at selected places but at more places to discourage needy people from venturing out of their houses.
