JAMMU, Feb 9: Panthers Party Working Committee met today under the Chairmanship of Jai Mala, Founder Member of JKNPP and wife of Prof Bhim Singh and unanimously passed several resolutions, including appointment of Yashpaul Kundal as working president of the party, which shall contest the next elections under the leadership of Harsh Dev Singh, the Chairman of the JKNPP.
The Working Committee empowered Harsh Dev Singh to take all decisions relating to organizational matters and the upcoming Assembly elections to be held in J&K.
“Due to ill health of Party President Prof Bhim Singh, it has become necessary to appoint a Working President who shall assist the Chairman. The Working President shall discharge all functions in the absence of the President till March 23, 2022 on which date a full time new President of the Party shall be appointed,” reads the resolution passed by the Working Committee, which appointed Yashpaul Kundal, two times MLA, former Minister and presently General Secretary of JKNPP as the Working President.
The meet also decided that all the members of the Working Committee shall undertake membership drive in their respective Districts alongwith the District Presidents and submit fort-nightly reports to the Working President of the Party.
Further, all members of the Working Committee in collaboration with the District Presidents shall raise finances for the day to day working of the party and for organizing party functions. The accounts of all funds so raised shall be maintained by Gagan Pratap Singh, State Secretary of the Party.
The District Presidents shall be appointed afresh after the Party’s foundation day on 23rd March, 2022 and till then, the existing District Presidents shall act on adhoc basis.
Rajesh Padgotra was appointed as adhoc Provincial President in place of outgoing Provincial President whose resignation was accepted by the Working Committee.
The Block level and Tehsil level Committees shall be constituted by the Working Committee members in collaboration with existing District Presidents and the Provincial Presidents and the same shall be provided before the next foundation day of the Party to be organized on 23rd March, 2022.
Earlier, Jai Mala and Harsh Dev Singh addressed the Working Committee meeting, which was attended by Yashpaul Kundal, Masood Andrabi, Iqbal Choudhary, Manju Singh, Gagan Pratap Singh, Parshotam Parihar, Rajesh Padgotra, Er Arif Ali, Sdr Paramjit Singh Marshal, Basharat Ali, D R Atri, Maqbool Malik and others.
