NEW DELHI, July 1: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) demonstrated in front of Indian Parliament condemning India-US protocol calling J&K as ‘Indian Administered State’.
Several activists of JKNPP staged a strong protest during the midnight of June 30 in front of Indian Parliament demanding immediate scrapping Indo-US Protocol signed two days back in Washington between Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and US President, Donald Trump describing the Indian State, Jammu and Kashmir as ‘Indian Administered J&K’.
The Panthers Party described this joint protocol between the Indian Prime Minister and the US President as cowardly surrender of India’s sovereignty vis-a-vis J&K. The Panthers Party described this act of the Indian Prime Minister as betrayal of India’s sovereignty over J&K and demanded the political parties and the MPs as well as the civil society to question Indian Prime Minister why he dared concede to such a protocol which challenges the national integrity of the Union of India of which the State of J&K forms integral part.
JKNPP demanded scrapping up such a protocol with the US President and also demanded amendment in Article 370 to ensure J&K as an integral part of the Union of India in the spirit and the command of the Instrument of Accession which Maharaja Hari Singh signed on 26th October, 1947 like other 575 rulers of different States at that time.
The midnight demonstration in front of Parliament organized by JKNPP was led by its Delhi Pradesh President, Rajiv Jolly. Meanwhile, Prof Bhim Singh in a message to the Members of Parliament called on them to denounce this protocol and merge the State of J&K with the Union of India as was intended by the ruler of J&K like other rulers.
