JKMEF seeks action against Sarpanch

JAMMU, May 3: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) has demanded action against Sarpanch of village Saranoo of Rajouri district alleging manhandling of two Health employees.
In a meeting of the Federation held today under chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president of the Federation, the speakers alleged that two Health employees namely Veerta Devi and Neelam Devi posted at Primary Health Centre Saranoo in Block Kalakote of District Rajouri were manhandled by local Sarpanch, her husband and others.
The Federation members expressed strong resentment over the incident. They said the employees of Health Department are working round the clock since out break of COVID -19 Pandemic last year but instead of getting reward they are being manhandled by time and again. They appealed the District Administration Rajouri and DIG Rajouri to personally intervene into matter and lodge FIR against the Sarpanch, her husband and others who has manhandled the on-duty Health employees.
Sushil Sudan appealed Chief Medical Officer Rajouri and Block Medical Officer Kalakote to take up the matter with District Administration and book the accused under stringent Sections of Law otherwise the Federation will proceed on strike. He demanded security for the Health staff and assurance of not repeating such incidents in future.
