JKMEF discusses demands of employees

JAMMU, Feb 5: A meeting of all Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held today at Federation office in DHS Complex Jammu under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan (president, JKMEF Jammu).
In the meeting, long pending demands of medical employees were discussed in detail which requires immediate redressal. Among the demands that figured in the meeting was settlement of long pending salary issue of 2211 Head as the employees of 2211 Head are suffering badly and are without salary since six months. Its permanent solution must be settled without further delay.
Other demands such as re-designation of Pharmacist as Pharmacy Officer on the pattern of other States and UTs, coverage of all employees and retirees under CGHS on the pattern of Central Government employees, payment of GP Funds of employees and retirees which are pending in the Treasuries without further delay, re-designation of posts and creation of the post of Technical Officer for all technical trades i.e OT Tech, Ophthalmic Technician, X-ray Technician on the pattern of Lab Technician were also discussed threadbare.
Later, a delegation of JKMEF Jammu under the leadership of Sushil Sudan met new Director Health Services Jammu Dr Rakesh Magotra and projected the demands of the employees. The deputation was comprised of Bharat Bhushan Bhagat (president, Pharmacists Association), Parfulat Singh (general secretary), Onkar Singh (vice president, JKMEF), Jaswinder Singh (president, OT Tech), Aslam Bhai, Pawan Singh Jamwal and Anita Bhagat.
