JKMEF discusses demands, meets DHS Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 19: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) discussed burning issues of the health employees during its meeting held under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan (J&K president).
During the meeting, several burning issues was discussed such as DPC of all categories of health employees, which is supposed to be done twice in a year but was not done even after the lapse of three to four years.
The speakers said that the DPC should be clear at par with Government Medical College/Drug and Food Control Organization on the pattern of executive order passed by the administrative department till the SRO-20 (Recruitment rules) is modified. They also demanded release of ex-gratia to kin of employees died during COVID -19 pandemic.
After the meeting, a deputation of the Federation met Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu Dr Renu Sharma and also apprised him of burning issues of the employees with special emphasis on departmental promotion committee of the various categories of the employees and excreta and other emoluments.
They also demanded release of immediate salary of Female Multipurpose Health Worker which is due for last 4 months. Director Health Services Jammu Dr Renu Sharma listened to their demands patiently and in principle agreed and assured to solve issues on priority.
It was decided in the meeting that the department should fix date of DPC before 01-02-2021 otherwise peaceful dharna/protest will be started from 02-02-2021 at District/Block Head quarters of Jammu Province.
