JAMMU, Nov 18: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu led by Sushil Sudan (State president JKMEF) today met with Administrative Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department Bhupinder Kumar at Civil Secretariat Jammu and projected demands of various categories of employees.
During the meeting, Sushil Sudan apprised the Secretary that salary of Female Multipurpose Health Workers working under 2211- Head Family Welfare is pending for one month and the issue of salary of these employees needs to be resolved permanently. He also raised other demands like DPC of Family Welfare employees, changing the nomenclature of Pharmacist categories as per the analogy of other neighbouring states and releasing Incentive vide Government Order Number 360-JK (HME) of 2021 dated 04-05-2021 for Covid-19 warriors who worked during May 2021 to July 2021.
The JKMEF president also demanded creation of posts of Junior Pharmacist at CHCs & PHCs, conduct of election in State Pharmacy Council, grant of Risk allowance to all non-Gazetted employees working in H&ME Department, creation of posts of Section Officers in all erstwhile CMO offices and Head Assistants at Block level, and framing of regularization policy for employees engaged under NHM/NCD/HDF besides enhancement of their remuneration.
Sudan also sought enhancement of Risk allowance in favour of X-Ray Tech @ Rs 5% of the Basic pay in place of Rs 150/month, enhancement of pay scale of Junior Staff Nurses from 4000-6000 to 5000- 8000 (pre revised), creation of posts of CHOs in new PHCs, re-designation of Head Theatre Technician as a Technical Officer, creation of posts of Sanitary Inspector at PHCs, SDHs, District Hospitals and newly created GMCs and giving DDO powers Zonal Medical Officers instead of Block Medical Officers.
The Administrative Secretary listened to each and every demand of the Federation patiently and assured the delegation that most of the demands which are genuine and are of urgent nature will be met on priority basis. RS Charak, Additional Secretary H&ME Department was also present in the meeting.
