JAMMU, Jan 1: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) met with Financial Commissioner (FC) Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo and highlighted the demands of various categories of employees of Health and Family Welfare Department.
The delegation was led by Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF along with heads of associations affiliated with the Federation. The leaders of various associations highlighted their demands one by one with Financial Commissioner.
The main demands that were highlighted include clearance of DPC at par with GMC/Drug & Food Control Organization on the pattern of Executive Order passed by the Administrative Department till the SRO-20 (Recruitment Rules) is modified, doing promotions strictly in accordance to the seniority, implementation of amendment of SRO 20 dated 24-02-1992 which is pending since more than 27 years and permanent solution of Salary Head 2211-Family Welfare.
The demands for upgradation of posts of Pharmacists, enhancement of FTA of field staff (Malaria/Leprosy) from Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month, Risk allowance to all non gazetted employees working in Health and Family Welfare Department, promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers who are trained LHVs in New OHCs, removal of pay anomalies in the pay scale of Ministerial Staff and other categories and over time allowance to all such categories (Male/Female) be given to the employees who are performing 12 hours night duty,
The representatives of the association also discussed the demands of creation of posts of Technical Officer in SHTO Workshop, removal of pay anomalies in pay scale of drivers, risk allowance and issuance of uniform to Field Workers working in UMCP, framing of regularization policy for employees engaged under NHM/NCD/HDF, etc.
The Financial Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to fulfill the demands of the associations.
