JAMMU, Dec 2: Jammu Kashmir Lab Technicians’ Association (JKLTA) today elected their provincial body for Jammu Province in a convention held here at the office complex of Directorate of Health Services Jammu, under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu Province.
The meeting unanimously elected Ch Mohd Aslam as president, JP Singh as senior vice president, Om Dutt as vice president (Jammu District), Pardeep Bhagat as vice president (Ramban District), Jatinder Singh as vice president (Reasi District), Firdosh Bashir Babzada as vice president (Kishtwar District), Jamoor Singh as vice president (Kathua District), Sarfraz Ahmed as vice president (Poonch District) and Kewal Krishan Sharma as vice president (Samba District).
Vikas Gupta was elected as general secretary, Daleep Bakshi as publicity secretary, Sat Paul Singh as cashier and Koushal Kumar as office secretary.
The meeting which was attended by all District and Block representatives of the association also highlighted burning demands and problems faced by the Laboratory Technicians, which include clearance of pending DPC of Lab Technicians, risk/infectious allowance to Lab Technicians working in Health Department, creation of posts of Senior Lab Technicians in PHC and Head Lab Technicians at SDH/CHC, creation of posts of Laboratory Boys in Health institutions and creation of posts of Lab Technicians in Blood Banks.
