JAMMU, Mar 6: The Jammu & Kashmir Handicaps’ Welfare Association (JKHWA) today appealed the Government to relocate the office for handicapped, as there is no transport facility available to reach there.
The issue was discussed during a meeting of the association held here today under the leadership of Rajinder Singh Manna. Various issues facing by the physically challenged, neglected and poor people were also discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by a large number of handicapped people who deliberated in length on pending issues before the welfare society. The speakers alleged that there is there is no transport facility available for handicapped office and the office is route is so long that they have to face several hardships to reach the office.
They appealed the Government to change the office location where handicaps and other people can approach easily. The meeting unanimously resolved to work together to sort out their burning issues at the earliest.
Mohan Dass Sharma, Geeta and other members of the association including Vijay Kumar, Mukesh Ved, Askash, Sanjay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Naveen Pal were present in the meeting.
