JAMMU, Apr 27: All Jammu and Kashmir Hospital and Institutional Contractor’s Alliance (JKHICA) has strongly condemned the wrong doings and unlawful activities by either of suppliers and officials dealing with the counterfeit pharmaceuticals and spurious drugs. The Alliance appealed the Government to take strong action against the guilty parties but at the same time asked the general public not to lose faith on genuine and honest traders.
Alliance at a meeting of its members from both from Jammu and Kashmir regions held via video conference both at its Jammu and Srinagar offices today, has advised the public to beware of fraudulent suppliers , fake manufacturers and frivolous traders.
Both the Provincial Presidents of alliance Aijaz Ahmed Rizvi (Kashmir Zone) and Nigam Gupta (Jammu Zone) demanded a strong action against the culprits who have not only cheated the public in general but also defamed the entire fraternity of Pharma, Medical / Hospital community and allied trade industry which was actually performing their compassionate obligations in the services of ailing community.
The meeting urged its associates to make sure their additional presence and perform their responsibilities with more alertness over dealing with good manufacturing practitioners and retain trust and faith in the society.
The alliance also proposed its fulltime assistance to Regulatory Authorities, Civil Administration, Police and other investigating agencies in helping-out in finding and making them to identify the gaps that actually allowed such malpractices to come about.
Hari Gandotra, founder president and chairman of the Alliance, urged the Government that an upright inference of Department or at-least few officials from the civil secretariat along with legal experts should also be involved to monitor the tendering / procurement systems and all must got involved as active members of procurement committees.
