JKGPA highlights demands

JAMMU, Aug 20: Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association (JKGPA) today highlighted long pending demands of the Government pharmacists.
Addressing a press conference, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat demanded upgradation of the post of block pharmacy officer and district pharmacy officer and change of nomenclature of Pharmacist on the analogy of other States.
He further demanded creation of the post of Technical Officer Pharmacy on the analogy of Medical College in every district hospital of the UT in the best interest of patients care and to remove injustice with pharmacists of Health Department.
Bhagat said that on 15 August 2023, Government of India published in the gazette of India Pharmacy Amendment Act 2023 Order Number 29 of 2023 in Pharmacy Act 2011 Sec 32C brought gigantic relief for JK trained Medical Assistant/ Pharmacist. He hoped that now JK Pharmacy Council will shortly issue notification for registration.
