UDHAMPUR, July 31: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers’ Forum (JKGLTF) was held here today in which teachers from 11 zones of the district participated and discuss their demands.
The meeting expressed strong resentment over SRO 469 of June 25, 2014 and chalked out the future strategy of the Forum.
The speakers criticized the Government for playing with seniority of 40,000 general line teachers across the State.
Speaking on the occasion, District secretary of the Forum, Vivek Gupta urged the Government to release DA installment pending since January 1, 2014 and salaries under SSA and RMSA.
Alleging that Government Order No. 469 challenges the constitutional validity of SSRB, district vice-president of the Froum, Sarvjeet Singh said it discourages the youth to continue their higher studies.
