JAMMU, Nov 13: Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural organized a Financial Literacy Camp at village Utteri, Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion R.P Sharma, Regional Manager, JKGB Kathua talked about the ongoing JKGB Festival Bonanza-2018 with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest and no processing charges on cars, consumer durable goods and two wheeler loans.
He also handed over PMJJBY claim amounting Rs 2 lakh to a nominee, Oshma Malpotra during the camp. He informed the masses about the benefits of social security schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana.
He informed the gathering that PMJDY overdraft amount is raised to Rs 10,000 and the age limit to open a PMJDY account is increased to 65 years and there will be no condition for overdraft up to Rs 2000 plus the accidental insurance cover for new RuPay card holders is raised from to Rs 2 lakh for the new PMJDY accounts opened after Aug 28.
Mohan Lal, Branch Head, Barwal enlightened the participants about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, Adhaar based transactions etc.
