RAJOURI, May 21: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized an awareness programme on the recently launched Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at village Lam in Tehsil Nowshera.
DDM NABARD, Des Raj Bhagat, who was chief guest on the occasion spoke at length about the various schemes of NABARD i.e., Farmer Clubs (FC’s), Self Help Groups (SHG’s) and Joint Liability Groups (JLG’s).
Speaking on the occasion, VK Sharma, Senior Manager, MF &FI Department, JKGB, informed the participants the benefits of newly launched schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
District Manager Rajouri, RS Sumbria, also spoke on the occasion and informed that JKGB Rajouri branch has enrolled 500 customers till date for insurance.
