JAMMU, Jan 2: Jammu and Kashmir Electric Employees Union (JKEEU) has expressed its concern over the unbundling/ reconstructing scheme of the Power Development Department (PDD).
The meeting said that the employees in PDD are seriously concerned over the issue and the Union under the leadership of its State president, Mir Abdul Salam Rajpuri has warned the authorities against the same.
The Union said that while taking the initiative the Government has failed to take the Union representatives into confidence which represents the largest section of PDD employees and this way it has put the service carrier of these employees at stake.
The Union said that the Government has not come with any blue print regarding safeguarding the non -gazetted employees of PDD and are playing a game plan in the hands of bureaucracy taking advantage of the present political uncertainty and went to put the Department into the hands of some blue eyed entrepreneurs snatching the day to day earnings of the existing employees of PDD.
The Provincial Unit of Electrical Employees Union under the chairmanship of G M Qazi chairman provincial body Jammu. Provincial president Krishan Singh Jamwal, chief advisor, M K Tickoo and secretary, Sanjay K Sharma along with all unit heads of districts passed a resolution to stand firm behind the State president in his future course of action.
The Union also asked the employees to be ready for general strike.
