JAMMU, July 9: J&K Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Krishan Singh Jamwal has expressed its total solidarity with the PDLs and TDLs who are on indefinite dharna in front of Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance &RE Wing here for redressal of their genuine and just demands of regularization.
The meeting was also addressed by chief advisor of the Union M K Tickoo and provincial chairman Qazi Ghulam Mohammed Tantry.
The meeting said that these daily wagers have completed all the formalities and they are fully eligible for regularization. Moreover Finance Department has also shown willingness for their regularization against the posts of those employees who retired from their services.
The Union said that Chief Engineer M&RE who is also the chairman of the DPC has submitted a comprehensive proposal for creation of posts against the employees who retired to regularize all the PDLs of PDD of Jammu region.
The Union expressed the hope that these posts will be given sanction at administrative level to give justice to the PDLs of the Department who are on dharna for last one week. It said the health of most of the PDLs who are sitting on dharna has deteriorated due to scorching heat.
The meting also appealed the Government to settle long pending demands of the employees of Jammu province like extension of benefit of SRO 59 to Jammu employees, release of promotion benefits to ITI qualification holders, amendment in SRO 381 and creation of posts and recognition of the Department.
