JAMMU, July 15: A meeting of J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association was held under the chairmanship of Ramnik Singh, general secretary of the Association, to highlight their demands.
The meeting discussed various issues for the welfare of engineering community in general and PDD engineers in particular.
During the discussions all the members vociferously showed concern on callous attitude of authorities towards their demands including promotion of eligible candidates, regularization of those working in capacity of incharge on higher posts and running grades for engineers.
The meeting said that the engineers have to toil to run the show on an inadequate out-dated infrastructure whereas streamlining and results comparable with neighbouring State’s utilities are expected without addressing exigent requirement of basic renovation and strengthening of the system.
The Association appealed the Chief Minister to intervene into the matter personally and issue instructions regarding redresses of the long pending issues.
