JAMMU, Apr 25: Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Lineman and Workers Union (JKEDLWU) held a meeting under the leadership of its Chairman, Vijay Gupta, which was attended by all the executive members.
While speaking, Vijay Gupta informed that a meeting of union was held with Principal Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD) Arun Mehta and a charter of demands was submitted to him.
The demands included welfare fund, removal of grade anomaly/variation of grades, ex-gratia relief, division of categories of daily wagers for their monthly wages, conduct of DPC, uniform and washing allowance.
Gupta further stated that the demands were discussed with Principal Secretary, he said, adding that the latter gave a patient hearing to the demands and assured that all the demands will be conceded.
Among others present were Suresh Chand Anthal, president, Tara Chand, president, Jammu province, Ashiq Hussain, vice president, Jammu province, Girdhari Lal, general secretary, Surinder Kumar, publicity secretary, Paras Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Bodh Raj, etc.
