JKEDI trains fresh batch of 43 aspiring entrepreneurs at Kargil

KARGIL: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship development institute (JKEDI) conducted Entrepreneurship Development programme(EDP) at Kargil under Self employment component of HIMAYAT which concluded today.

A batch of 43 aspiring entrepreneurs including eleven females passed out from JKEDI Kargil after completing the three-week training programme.

The main objective of the program is to help the participants, to imbibe the required entrepreneurial and managerial skills so that they can start and run their own business ventures successfully.

Kachoo Ahmed Ali Khan, Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function. Haji Mohammad Shafi, political advisor to CEC, LAHDC Kargil was the guest of honour of the occasion. Deputy Director Employment Kargil and District officers from different departments were also present on the occasion audience.

 District Nodal Officer JKEDI Kargil, Yash Paul in his welcome address highlighted the various schemes being implemented by JKEDI for the welfare of youths. He emphasized on the need of entrepreneurship and skill development in the State and urged the participants to become entrepreneurs and create jobs.

On the occasion, entrepreneurs also shared their views regarding the three-week long fruitful training provided by JKEDI.

Kachoo Ahmed Ali Khan in his speech lauded JKEDI Kargil for organizing such programs and providing a platform to the unemployed youth of Ladakh. He wished the participants for their successful future, adding various opportunities and resources are still to explore in Kargil.
