SRINAGAR, Nov 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurs’ Development Association held protest demonstration in support of their demands near Press Enclave here today.
A large number of entrepreneurs from various districts of Kashmir province assembled at Press Enclave Srinagar today and staged sit in to lodge their protest against Government and J&K Bank for not showing the humane face towards the problems and their resolution which the entrepreneurs of Valley and also from two other regions are facing in view of unrest in Kashmir since July this year.
The purpose of staging this protest dharna was aimed at drawing the attention of the Government towards the plight of the entrepreneurs. They were demanding waiver in loans and concession in interest as well in view of the turmoil in Kashmir valley.
JKEDA members claimed that they had approached to the Chief Ministers office and also to the chairman of J&K Bank in this regard but the outcome of the meetings is yet awaited. Now they have been forced to come out on streets and roads to carry their voice up to the corridors of power in the State. Many educated youth who failed to get Govt jobs have set up their own ventures. Now , they have suffered huge losses due to bandhs and strikes in Valley. The Govt must come out for their help.
