JAMMU, Jan 15: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) termed the revocation of expulsion of five MLAs of BJP as cosmetic measure in view of the forthcoming Parliament elections.
Addressing a press conference, State president, JKDF Youth Wing Munish Khajuria termed the move of expulsion and revocation of selected MLAs only a part of bigger conspiracy to tarnish the image of Prof Chaman Lal Gupta and design to ouster the leader like Prof Gupta for the sake of vested interests of some people in State BJP.
The episode of cross voting was created only to defame political stalwart like Prof Gupta to score political mileage and also to suppress the voice of millions of people of Jammu, whose aspirations he represents, he added.
The people of Jammu have understood the dubious policies of BJP and will teach lesson to this party in the forthcoming Parliament and Assembly elections, Khajuria said.
Among others present were Arun Khanna, Bhupinder Singh, Suresh Sharma and Ashok Gandhi, all senior JKDF leaders.
