JAMMU, Dec 16: Jammu and Kashmir Development Forum (JKDF) today distributed stationery items like note books, pens, pencils etc among 120 students of Government Boys Middle City School, RS Pura.
On the occasion, Harinder Mahajan, Chairman of the Forum, was the chief guest while guest of the honour was SDM RS Pura. The function started with welcome address by Headmaster of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest asked the students to work hard in their studies to achieve success in life. He also said that the students of today are the future of tomorrow and they should be properly educated and morally upright in order to take the nation to new heights.
Locals of the area informed the chief guest that the school needs immediate renovation and facelift. He appealed to the Government to immediately release the salaries of Mid-Day Meal staff as they have not received the same since long. The chairman further asked the Government that as chilly days of winters have already set in therefore, winter uniform of the students should be given to the students immediately.
The function ended with vote of thanks by Kamla Devi, (ZEO RS Pura). Hakumat Rai (retired ZEO was also present on the occasion.
