JAMMU, Dec 24: J&K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions has expressed serious concern over the delay being caused in addressing pending demands of the employees.
In a meeting of the trade unions held under the chairmanship of Mohd Maqbool State president, the members expressed their serious concern over the delay being caused by Government in resolving the pending demands of the employees. They pointed out that policy of the Government regarding outsourcing and engagement of casual workers has created uncertainty and insecurity on the career of the youth.
He pointed out that Government is neither willing to frame further regularization policy nor the wage policy, leaving these workers on the mercy of bureaucrats. The moves to privatize pension and the new recruitment policy has added fuel to the fire.
The JKCCTU while condemning the ruthless policies of Central and State Government decided to observe January 9, 2014 as demands day. The employees and workers under this banner would hold protest demonstrations and rallies at district headquarters and submit demand charter to the concerned Dy Commissioners.
The meeting was also attended by Ram Kumar Sharma, Gurmeet Singh, Sheikh Ajaz Ahmed, Ghuman Nabi Reshi, Bharat Bhushan, Mushtaq Ahmed Dar and others.
