SRINAGAR, June 1: A delegation of JKCCTU led by its president Md Maqbool met the visiting team of 8th Pay Commission here today and apprised them about the serious concerns of Government employees, teachers, pensioners and temporary workers’ engaged in Government departments.
The delegation suggested in detail the minimum wage formula as per the 15th Indian Labour Conference, complete parity of Jammu and Kashmir employees in grades and allowances with Central Government employees, restoration of old pension scheme and withdrawing of encroachments on pensioners benefits, releasing of 18% freezed DA of COVID period, raising of yearly increment from 3% to 5%, fitment formula of 3.87,wage and regularisation policy for all temporary workers with equal wages for equal work for employees doing the same job like permanent employees, Winter and Disturbed Area Allowances for Jammu and Kashmir employees.
They also demanded the protection of service sector ,stopping of outsourcing and filling up of all vacant posts in Government and semi Government departments etc.
All the members of the team listened the views of delegation and assured to take the views into consideration.
