JAMMU, Apr 28: In a first of its kind , Jammu and Kashmir Cine Association (JKCA) today marked a historic moment as it celebrated the illustrious careers of two stalwarts in the realms of theatre and film whose contribution in their respective fields uphold towering magnitude of excellence.
Amidst a gathering of luminaries from diverse fields, Tillottma Jamwal and Raghunandan Bali were honoured for their invaluable contributions to the world of art and culture at the K L Saigal Hall, Abhinav Theatre.
Tillottma Jamwal, whose journey in the domain of art has been adorned with milestones of success, was meticulously highlighted by Shiv Mehta. Through a detailed exposition of her works and achievements, Mehta painted a vivid picture of Jamwal’s ascent to prominence.
In a parallel tribute, Raghunandan Bali’s multifaceted contributions to theatre, films, radio, and Doordarshan were extolled by J R Sagar. With eloquence, Sagar illuminated Bali’s journey, portraying him as an archetype of versatility and excellence.
Amidst the reverential atmosphere, president of JKCA, Dharminder Kohli and members of the association extended a warm welcome to Jamwal and Bali. Kohli said that in honoring Jamwal and Bali, the JKCA not only celebrated their achievements but also reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing and fostering the rich cultural heritage of J&K.
“Through their exemplary careers, Tillottma Jamwal and Raghunandan Bali have not only left an indelible mark on the canvas of creativity but have also paved the way for future generations to strive for excellence. Their legacy serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path for aspiring artists and reaffirming the timeless adage that true greatness lies not just in talent but in the unwavering pursuit of one’s passion,” he added.
