JAMMU, Dec 13: J&K Christian Association (JKCA) today submitted a representation to Governor NN Vohra for the Christmas arrangements.
The association said that as Christmas (X-Mass) is approaching on December 25, but the State administration has not made any required arrangements for this pious festival. The association demanded that in all Christian colonies, lanes and drains be cleaned and repaired, and old bulbs and tube lights be replaced.
Besides this, association demanded 24-hour electricity and water supply in all Christian colonies and churches from December 24 to January 1. The association also demanded that proper security arrangements in and around all churches be made on all these days besides making security arrangements for Christmas procession, which will be taken out on December 22 from St Pauls Church, Residency Road, Jammu.
It was also demanded that adequate cash be placed in all ATMs near St Pauls Church, Residency Road and Garrison Church, Gandhi Nagar on December 25.
