JAMMU, June 9: J&K Board of School Education today declared result of the maiden academic session of class 12th students of UT of J&K and the UT of Ladakh under Uniform Academic Calendar 2023, implemented last year.
In total 1,27,636 students were enrolled for class 12th session Annual Regular 2023 in the UTs of J&K, and Ladakh, out of which 82440 have been declared passed.
Girls have excelled again by scoring a pass percentage of 68 (42395) against 61 pass percentage of the boys (40045).
Interestingly, top ten positions in Arts, Commerce and Science stream each, have been shared by 236 candidates. 161 students have shared top 10 positions in Science stream while 62 students have shared top ten positions of Commerce and 53 shared top 10 positions in Arts stream.
Irtiza Manzoor of Govt Girls HSS Zadibal, Srinagar has secured first position in the Faculty of Commerce and Mahveen Wani of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amirakadal, Srinagar is the topper in Faculty of Arts while Shahid Bashir of Fayaz Educational Institute Faiz Abad, Nowgam, Srinagar is the topper in Faculty of Science.
This was for the first time that result of class 12th students of entire J&K as well as Ladakh has been declared together as Uniform Academic Calendar was implemented last year. The exam was conducted at 1255 centres established across the Soft and Hard Zone areas identified in both the UTs.
Expressing his satisfaction over the entire examination process of Annual Regular 2023 examination, Chairperson, JKBOSE, Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas said that the Board is consistent in its efforts for upgrading and fine-tuning its mechanisms and processes for the student welfare.
The result is available online on the official website of JKBOSE www.jkbose.nic.in. The candidates can also avail SMS facility by sending the text message to 5676750 by typing jkbose12 followed by a space and Roll. Also for the first time, the results are available on Digilocker service.
