JAMMU, Sept 19: All J&K Bank Officers Organisation (JKBOO) has announced to celebrate the 126th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, founder of J&K Bank as Maharaja Hari Singh Day within the Bank across all its branches and offices.
In a press conference here today Raghbir Singh Jamwal, president JKBOO and Mukesh Kumar, general secretary requested the entire workforce of the Bank including officers, clerical and subordinate staff to celebrate the day as a token of respect and gratitude towards the visionary Maharaja who laid the foundation of strongest financial institution of J&K which offered largest employment avenues for the people of J&K UT and Ladakh.
Jamwal also asked the management of the Bank to officially celebrate the day so that the new generation bankers serving the institution may take inspiration from the personality of Maharaja Hari Singh.
He said that the Bank may organize blood donation camps, plantation drives, oath taking ceremonies, floral tributes etc in their respective branches to celebrate the day.
JKBOO office bearers including Dewaker, Ravinder Singh, both vice presidents; Kulbir Singh, secretary and Vikas Khajuria, treasurer were also present in the press conference.
