JAMMU, Jan 7: Chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu Chapter Rahul Sahai has appealed J&K Bank CMD Baldev Prakash, to personally look and revaluate into the matter regarding the decision of J&K Bank for deduction of commitment charges from borrower’s account who are using less exposures given to them.
“Because of this decision, lot of good and big customers are shifting from J&K Bank to other options and J&K Bank (JKB) is being trolled for wrong decisions as no other bank is imposing these type of charges,” Sahai said, adding, that the step taken by J&K Bank has created an immense displeasure and litigation amongst the borrowers.
Sahai said that the traders and industrialists treat J&K Bank as their own bank which will work for the benefit of the traders, but on the other hand steps taken by J&K Bank to deduct unnecessary charges in one way or other is absolutely not acceptable by industrial and trading community across J&K.
Sahai said that J&K Bank should instead take imperative steps for the growth of trade and industry in J&K, otherwise traders will loose their faith in the Bank and may look for other options available which will be very painful for the staff and customers of J&K Bank too.
