JAMMU, July 23: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, president, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today said that the core agenda of his party includes socio-political empowerment of youth of Jammu and Kashmir who have faced decades of neglect and disempowerment.
“JKAP pledges to work tirelessly for fulfillment of genuine aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially its youth,” Bukhari said.
The JKAP chief expressed this opinion while interacting with a series of delegations consisting of seasonal teachers, employees serving in Ladakh UT, water testing lab contractual employees of Jal Shakti Department and Advocates deputation who called on Altaf Bukhari at JKAP office in Jammu.
Bukhari assured them that their issues will be highlighted before the concerned authorities for their early redressal.
Meanwhile, large numbers of youth from Jammu East, Jammu West and Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituencies have joined the JKAP under the leadership of senior leader, Vikram Malhotra.
Welcoming them in the party fold, Bukhari said, “JKAP will undo the wrongs done with both the regions and bring the people of Jammu – Kashmir regions close to each other. The youth want employment opportunities and the development has taken a back stage. We will focus on the youth to provide them all the opportunities for their better future in J&K.”
Bukhari said that “The youth of J&K are looking forward to political developmental oriented politics that is why many youth are joining the party with expectations which need to be addressed.”
Prominent among those who joined JKAP in presence of Bukhari from Jammu East Constituency included Pawan Kumar, Gourav Keshav, Kamal, Aniket Kumar, Simranjeet Singh, Shamsher Singh, Deepak Sharma, Rahul Pandita, Saksham Gupta, Varun Sharma, Honey Mehra, Vickey Chander, Akdas Ali and others.
From Jammu West Assembly Constituency and Gandhi Nagar include former general secretary of Congress Gourav Kapoor, Mashal Singh, Sarthik, Lucky Sharma, Lucky Verma, Harsh, Sumit, lovely, Shubam and others.
Senior party leaders Moh Dilawar Mir, Manjit Singh, Vijay Bakaya, Vikram Malhotra, Namrata Sharma, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, ML Chalotra and Bodh Raj Bhagat were also present.
