JKAACL organizes folk festival at Udhampur, Ramnagar

JAMMU, Mar 26: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized a two day folk festival at Udhampur and Ramnagar.
About 20 folk parties of the district participated to showcase the Duggar culture by performing various forms of art in the festival.
Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Academy Incharge Officer for Divisional Office Jammu said: “Under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL, Academy has organized more than 300 mega events including literary and cultural besides theater and Nukkad festivals for the promotion and development of culture and artists as well as folk and contemporary art.”
Dr. Sanjay Bhat, District Officer, Govt Hospital Udhampur was chief guest while the function was presided over by Dr. Pardeep Mahajan, chairman Narsingh Dev Nursing College Udhampur.
On concluding day of the fest at Ramnagar, Prof. Bhanu Sharma, Principal Degree College Ramnagar was chief guest while Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, Vice Principal was guest of honour.
Bodh Raj Menia and Vipan Upadhya renowned theater and television personalities anchored the programme.
Prominent parties which mesmerized the audience were V.D Shrestavand Party, Subash Brahmnu and Party, Kalo Devi and Party, Mohan Mistry and Party, Paltylhyar Nehru Youth Club, Kamla Devi and Party, Ashok Kantotra and Party, Lajwanti and Party, Vansh Kumar and Party besides others.
