JKAACL organizes Bhajan Sandhya at Sukrala Mata

KATHUA, Nov 27: The Sub-Office Kathua of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organised a ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ at Sukrala Devi temple, Billawar near here, today in connection with the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.
The programme was witnessed by the people of localities who came Sukrala Devi Mata to pay obeisance. SOCA, Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta while addressing the people shared that JKAACL is coming up with a programmes at various shrines of Kathua and Samba district. In this segment, this is the first programme of the series which will further come up with the programme in the shrines of Samba and Kathua.
He also said that we are trying to do best of efforts for the preservation and promotion of the art and culture of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu is very rich in terms of performing arts and our motive is to take our culture in every house so that the younger generation gets known by its roots.
The programme was started with the singing of Om Basotra and party, Narinder Kumar and party and Ajit Singh and party who made everyone spellbound with their mesmerizing soulful singing. The programme culminated with the performance by CS Kattal and party. The show was conducted by Janak Bhardwaj.
