KATHUA, Sept 12: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), Jammu in association with District Administration, Udhampur organized “On-the-Spot Children Music Competition” of Infant, Junior, Senior and Amateur Groups at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kathua.
The competition was organized from September 7 to 9 in which more than 150 children from various schools and institutions participated in various categories. The event was inaugurated by Jatinder Mishra, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Kathua.
The recipients of award in various categories include:
Infant Group (Light/Folk): Three equal prizes of Rs 750 each were awarded to Payal of Government Middle School (GMS) Kathua, Sonakshi of Indian Public School, Kalibari and Ishmeet Singh of Kartar Public School Barnoti.
Junior Group (Light/Folk): Ist prize of Rs 1050 was awarded to Roofi Jaswal of APS Kathua and 2nd prize of Rs 825 awarded to Samar of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Aditi Sharma of DPS Rajbagh, Vinamerta Sharma of Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua and Hanish Rasotra of Kids Heaven Convent Higher Secondary School, Kathua.
Senior Group (Light/Folk): Ist prize of Rs 1500 was awarded to Gurjeet Kumar of GHSS Jakhbar and 2nd prize of Rs 1200 was awarded to Ayushi Ballawari of Kartar Public School, Barnoti whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 600 each were awarded to Aditya Andotra of RS Jagriti Niketan Senior Secondary School, Kathua, Neeraj Verma of St Xavier’s Convent School, Kathua and Abhishek Bhandari of Bharat Public School, Kathua.
Amateur Group (Light/Folk): Ist prize of Rs 2100, 2nd prize of Rs 1500 and 3rd prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Arun Singh (Open Category), Shallu of GHSS Hiranagar and Devinder Kumar of GHSS for Boys, Kathua .
Amateur Group (Instrumental): Ist prize of Rs 2100, 2nd prize of Rs 1500 and third prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Ram Mohan (Open Category), Pawan Kumar of GHSS Machedi and Vikas of GMS Kathua, respectively.
Infant Group (Instrument): Two consolation prizes of Rs 750 were awarded to Gorav Veer of Tiny Scholars Senior Secondary School, Kathua and Dhara of GMS Boys, Kathua.
Junior Group (Instrument): First prize of Rs 1050 and 2nd prize of Rs 825 were awarded to Harshdeep of St Xavier Convent School, Kathua and Souravdeep of APS Janglot whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 450 were awarded to Inderjeet Singh of Kartar Public School Barnoti, Aryan of APS Janglot and Ranveer Singh of Kartar Public School, Barnoti.
Senior Group (Instrument): Ist prize of Rs 1500 and second prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Bhupinder Singh of DPS Rajbagh and Ratul Khandotra of Springdales English School, Kathua whereas one consolation prize of Rs 600 was awarded to Gagandeep of Kartar Public School, Barnoti.
