JAIPUR, Apr 20: In a bid to promote tourism products of J&K at global markets, a team of J&K Tourism lead by Director Tourism Kashmir/Managing Director Tourism JKTDC, Farooq Ahmad Shah participated in 3-day Great Indian Travel Bazzar-2015 at Jaipur Exhibition Convention Centre (JECC).
The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Others who participated in the event include Dy Director Tourism, Central, Kashmir Peerzada Zahoor, General Manager, JKTDC, Ashwani Gupta and Marketing Manager, JKTDC, Dilli Haat C.B. Kaul besides members of various travel bodies of J&K.
The Great Indian Travel Bazaar -2015 organized by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce (FICCI) provides an opportunity to the tourist states of India to have business with international buyers from across the globe. In this direction, J&K Tourism also participated in GITB as a Partner State to grab the opportunity for business with international buyers.
The main features of Great Indian Travel Bazaar are to ensure participation of maximum foreign buyers in the mega event so that it provides a platform to tourism industry to have business with foreign buyers. As many as 275 foreign buyers of different countries from across the world are participating in this 3 day event. About 252 exhibition booths have been set up at the show to do business with foreign buyers.
In the first day of the event large number of international buyers visited J&K tourism stall at JECC and interacted with tourism and travel bodies for business.
While interacting with the foreign buyers, Director Tourism, Kashmir/MD, JKTDC Farooq Ahmad Shah briefed them about various tourism products of J&K state and asked them that J&K is the only state in the world which possesses all kind of tourism products be it leisure, skiing, rafting, pilgrimage, heritage, golfing, angling, border tourism, trekking, mountaineering, rock climbing and other many products available in the three regions of the State.
The Director Tourism urged them to make J&K as a preferred destination for their travelers.
