JAMMU, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association is organizing J&K State Masters (Veteran) Badminton Championship-2018 from February 9 to 11 at Badminton Hall, Police Lines, here.
The players to represent the state in the forthcoming 42nd Masters (Veteran) National Badminton Championship to be held at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, will also be selected during the Championship.
The Championship will be held in the age categories of above 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70, born by or before 1982, 1977, 1972, 1967, 1962, 1957, 1952 and 1947 respectively.
According to a handout issued here, the players are eligible to participate in only three events namely Singles, Doubles Mixed Doubles.
The matches will be played as per the rules of Badminton Association of India.
The players have been advised to register their names with Satpal Sharma, SAI Coach at MA Stadium Jammu and Sukhdev Singh, Police Lines Badminton Hall, Jammu.
The last date for submitting the entry is February 7 and the draws will be held on February 8 at Police Lines Jammu.
