J&K reports 166 COVID cases, Ladakh 51

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Feb 19: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 166 new COVID positive cases while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 51 fresh positives. No COVID casualties were reported in both the Union Territories today.
Jammu region registered 103 cases and Kashmir 63.
Jammu district accounted for 51 positives, Doda 23, Kathua eight, Udhampur and Ramban five each, Reasi four, Poonch three, Kishtwar two and Samba and Rajouri districts one each.
As against 103 positives, daily recoveries in Jammu division today went up to 242 leaving number of active positive cases to 1168.
The UT of Ladakh reported 51 fresh COVID positive cases today including 38 in Leh and 13 in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 405 active positive cases—320 in Leh and 85 in Kargil.Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 63 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 21 from Srinagar, 4 from Baramulla, 4 from Budgam, 3 from Pulwama, 13 from Kupwara, 6 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora and 2 from Ganderbal.
With fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached to 286,794 including 283,246 recoveries and 2,422 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 2,294 including 1,126 from Kashmir division.
With 469 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 445,115 which is 98.44 percent of the total cases.
