BANGALORE, Nov 15: The largest producer of Branded Copier in India, JK Paper Ltd has launched two new copier brands- ‘JK C MAX’ and ‘JK MAX’- aimed at providing ‘value for money’. This comes soon after the largest investment that was commissioned at JK Paper Mills, Rayagada (Odisha) recently.
The installation of a new machine is aimed to deliver global quality standards of multipurpose office papers.
With the recent expansion JK’s production capacity will be raised by an additional 1.65 lakh tonnes of Copier Papers and pulping capacity of 2.15 lakh tonnes.
The Company’s total annual capacity stands now at 4.55 lakh tonnes. The new plant is highly automated and the paper produced is virtually untouched till the time it is loaded in trucks, a company release said.
Santosh Wakhloo, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, JK Paper Ltd, said with the new machine at in place at Rayagada, this will further strengthen JK’s position as a quality leader.
The Indian Paper Industry accounts for about 1.8% of the world’s production of paper and paperboard and is the fastest growing market for paper globally.
The consumption is increasing and is estimated to go to 17.5 million tons by 2016-17 from present 13 million tons including Newsprint. The estimated turnover of the industry is Rs 41,000 crore (USD 7 billion) approximately, he said. (UNI)
