JAMMU, Feb 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Motor Vehicles Department has bagged the first rank on My Bharat Portal launched by MoRTH as a part of National Road Safety Month 2024 to rope in large number of stakeholders for generating mass awareness on Road Safety and its significance.
During the month J&K MVD organized 1369 events throughout the Union Territory and reach every nook and corner to spread awarness regarding Road Safety. Gujrat secured second rank and organized total 513 events while Telangana remained at 3rd position across the country with total 357 events.
This recognition represented a remarkable accomplishment for the Motor Vehicle Department whose officials remained on toes throughout month to reach every last corner of their districts and organized multilpe events related to Road Safety. The rank has been achieved due to hard work and dedication of the all stakeholders including Health &Medical Department,School Education Department,Transport Unions, dealers, youths, students besides all district administrations whose contribution remained instrumental in driving the Mission’s major goal by making arrangements for various Medical Camps, first aid Training programmes, symposiums, workshops, awareness programes for drivers and Road users to make general public aware about their contribution for achieving targets to reduce accidents and fatalities.
Among Districts, Kulgam bagged Ist position by organizing 294 events,Anantnag secured 2nd Position and organized 264 events while Srinagar bagged 3rd Rank by organizing 253 event during the Month.
