JK Legislature passes Bill for State’s first National Law varsity

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today passed a Bill for the establishment of a National Law University in the State.

The Bill was introduced in the House by Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice, Abdul Haq.

He said the proposed university, a first for the State, would boost the quality of legal education.

Haq said it had been resolved in the All India Law Ministers’ Conference at the National Law School University at Bangalore to improve the quality of legal education. (AGENCIES)
