‘JK Journal of Architecture & Engineering Sciences’ released

JAMMU, Apr 27: First ever issue of quarterly research journal “JK Journal of Architecture and Engineering Sciences” was released here today at GCET.
The issue was released by Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, along with Dr  Sameru Sharma, Principal GCET Jammu, Dr  Ramesh Chander, Principal Govt  MAM College and Ar  V K  Pant, Chief Architect, Architect Organisation (J&K).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Samoon  highlighted the importance of research in technical institutions. He envisioned that the Journal will be instrumental in promoting collaborative research between academia and field professionals, and also facilitate the setting up of joint R&D institutions which would ultimately lead to the efficient and effective implementation of different schemes in J&K State. He also interacted with faculty and students of Architecture and Engineering Colleges providing them many useful insights in the field of technology.
Earlier,  in her welcome address,  Dr. Sameru Sharma, Principal GCET, Jammu apprised the gathering about the importance of research and also the key features of this journal. JK Journal of Architecture and Engineering is a quarterly research journal which shall provide an intellectual platform to the teachers, scholars and students of Architecture and Engineering to explore the universe of technological advancements through intensive research, discussions and debate.
The papers published in the current issue have been peer reviewed and will be made accessible online globally to all on the Higher Education website. Subsequently, the platform will be made open on a wider scale to technocrats, researchers and academicians across the country and also to the eminent alumni of the Technical Institutions of the State.
The editorial board also includes Dr  Sameru Sharma,  Rauf Ahmad Khan, Dr  Simmi Dutta, Ar  Aditya Kumar Singh, Ar (Dr ) Sandeep Sankat and Ar  Sameer Hamdani.
