NEW DELHI, Feb 18: J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was conferred with the award for the Highly Commended Branch in Northern Region during the period January 2016 to December 2016.
Jagdish Mukhi, Lieutenant Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, presented the award to CA Ashwani Khajuria (Chairman), CA Sudhir Arora (Vice-Chairman), CA Ajay Gupta (Secretary), CA Jatinder Jaswal (Treasurer), CA Shalay Razdan (Executive Member) and CA Anish Abrol (Executive Member) at a glittering annual award function organized at The Lalit, New Delhi.
Central Council Members, Office bearers and Executive Members of Northern India Regional Council were also present at the Annual Prize Distribution function along with a host of Chartered Accountants and CA students.
The award is presented annually to the best performing branches of ICAI across all regions taking into consideration various parameters of excellence in performance Under the leadership of CA Ashwani Khajuria, the branch successfully conducted numerous continuing professional education programs and workshops where eminent speakers participated from all over the country. Senior Chartered Accountants of the Branch were felicitated to recognize their professional contribution. Various activities for students of chartered accountancy were undertaken. Platforms were organized for better interaction of the members with the Government Departments like Income Tax, Commercial Taxes, members of Trade and Industry etc.
It is pertinent to mention that J&K Branch of ICAI has been consistently awarded for its performance during last four years.
