JAMMU, Dec 17: Scores of members from J&K unit, are participating in two-day national convention of Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) being held at Holy township of Varindaban on December 21 and 22.
It will be 5th such national level grand congregation of the members of Brahman community. The members from 19 states of the country, including J&K UT will be participating in this national event. The first convention was held at Gurugram- the land of Guru Drona Acharya, second at Haridwar, third at Katra Mata Vaishnodevi (J&K) while fourth at Pink City- Jaipur.
National president of the organization, Subhash Kaushik said that all the arrangements for this national level Sammelan have been finalised. He said a large number of members from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pardesh, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal, Delhi, Harayana, Punjab, Himachal, J&K etc will participate in this two- day prpgramme.
Kaushik said the Brahaman community members would discuss the issues of the community welfare, promotion of Vedic education, social evils and the issues of national interest. He said the members of the community including students, will also be honoured during the convention for their outstanding performance in various fields.
While lauding the bold initiatives of Modi Govt with regard to abrogation of Article 370 in J&K, Citizenship Amendment Bill and Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya, the VBKP National president demanded that there should be Common Civil Code in the country irrespective of the religion. He demanded that Modi Govt should take all possible measures to promote Vedic and moral education in the country.
VBKP national president condemned the increasing incidents of crime again women in the country and demanded special initiatve by the Govt to curb such shameful incidents against fair-sex. He demanded that all the accused of ‘Nirbhya Kand’ be hanged without any delay. Kaushik said moral education to the children at home and schools play great role in containing such incidents.
