SRINAGAR, Dec 12:  JK Cements Employees Association today held a protest demonstration here demanding release of pending salaries and updating of CP Fund.
Scores of protesting employees of JK Cements assembled in Pratap Park and marched towards the Press Enclave, raising slogans in favour of their demands.
JKCEA, General Secretary, Javid Ahmad said that the employees are facing extreme hardships as their salaries are pending from five months.. “The employees are being deprived of their salaries for five months. We are on the verge of starvation. Our children are being expelled from the schools as we are not able to pay their fee,” he said.

The protesters said that Government has turned blind eye towards their sufferings and it is unfortunate that despite repeatedly protesting, their demands are not fulfilled. “It is unfortunate that Government has forgotten us and has turned blind eye towards our sufferings. We demand release of the pending five months salary and updating of CP Fund. We want our earnings be given back to us,” they said.
They threatened that they will continue to protest and will bring their families with them until their demands are not fulfilled. “We will bring our families here with us and held protest. If our demands are still not fulfilled, we will burn the school bags our children as well,” they said.
