J&K Branch of ICAI hosts sub-regional conference

JAMMU, Nov 25: J&K Branch of Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted a sub-regional conference here today at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu.
During this full day conference, Technical sessions and discussions were held on recent changes and developments in GST, assessment and re-assessment under Income Tax Act, 1961. Post implementation issues under GST were dealt with and discussions between the speakers and members of the J&K Branch cleared a lot of queries and doubts of the members. CA Nagesh Bajaj, CA Rajender Arora (Secretary, NIRC) and CA Nitin Kanwar (NICASA Chairman) were the guest speakers. A lot of members of the J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI took active participation in this full day conference.
Keeping the good health of the Chartered Accountants in mind, CA Sumit Garg, Treasurer, NIRC of the ICAI, shared some health tips and advised the members to do Yoga to keep their mind and body healthy.
CA  Rakesh Makkar, Chairman, NIRC of the ICAI, was also present on the occasion.
CA  Ajay Gupta, Vice-Chairman, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI, delivered inaugural address and  conducted the proceedings during the technical sessions. CA Sudhir Arora, Chairman, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI,  welcomed the guests and members of the branch.
CA Anish Abrol, Secretary, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI,  presented the formal vote of thanks. CA  Ashwani Khajuria, Executive Member, J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI,  was also present on the occasion.
