JK Bank holds financial literacy camp

JAMMU, Aug 24:  An awareness / literacy camp was organized by JK Bank Baletar Sumb at Village Goran today with a motive of creating awareness on financial concepts and management of money amongst the people and make the people aware of the recently launched social security schemes and has been organized and supported under FIF managed by NABARD” and this camps is being held in association with NABARD.
More than one hundred person participated in the camp apart from higher officials from  JK Bank Zonal Office Jammu Central -II -Kathua   and officials from different  govt departments   and  MetLife /Bajaj /Met loan Insurance Company .
Speakers highlighted about latest developments in banking sector and latest schemes like Kissan Dost , KCC, Education Loan ,Housing Loan ,Transport Loan, Easy Working capital ,Mortgage Loan ,  Mudra Sishu ,Kishore and Tarun.  Loans recently lunched by Govt  apart from various Social Security Scheme like PM SBY,PMJDY,PMJJY and APY , Ladli Betti Scheme for Girl Child  Standup India.  They requested the public to make judicious use of bank’s loans  i.e for purpose it was availed and also deposit surplus money in bank instead of keeping it at home   as Fixed Deposit, monthly yield deposit scheme , recurring monthly deposit scheme.  Various speakers highlighted APY scheme and also elaborated about KYC and anti money laundering concept and its benefits in long run to public.
The village Sarpanch Nasib Singh &.Des Raj president of Baba Goran Committee                                   took very active part in organizing camp.
BH JK Bank Baletar, Rajpal Singh Slathia  requested   the   participants to use PMJDY  (ATM )Card within  90 days   even if account balance is zero to get benefit for Insurance Cover  and advised them to collect the cards on priority basis from branch  and also avail benefit of various Scheme of the bank and government.
