SRINAGAR, Dec 13: Taking stock of the organizational performance, J&K Bank Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber visited the Bank’s Zonal Office Kashmir (North) at Amargarh Sopore and presided over an interactive session with the Heads of Business Units of the zone from Bandipora and Sopore districts, who were attending the mid-term review meeting there.
The session was attended by the Zonal Head Kashmir (North) Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, Special Secretary to CMD Karanjit Singh, Cluster Head Zahoor Ahmad Khan, Lead District Manager Baramulla Shamim Ahmad Haji, besides the staff posted at the Zonal Office.
During the meeting, the CMD listened patiently to the participants expounding upon the various aspects of business performance in the zone besides numerous administrative issues faced by the zone in particular.
The CMD appreciated the participants for putting in their best efforts to garner more business, streamline services and for meeting the expectations of the clients during the recent turmoil. He urged the staff to fully involve themselves in increasing the business of the Bank and directed them to adhere to various regulatory compliances without fail so as to enhance the Bank’s regulatory rating.
While emphasizing the strong fundamentals of the bank along with its pre-eminent position in financial architecture of the region, the CMD also sensitized the staff about the significance of the bank’s growing role in the socio-economic progress and the development of the people of the remotest district in North Kashmir. The Chairman also emphasized upon the importance of quality credit portfolio and directed for all possible efforts for recovery of non performing assets.
He said: “As the premier Bank of this region it is our responsibility to manage and add value to the business cycles of our clients. Since we understand the businesses better here, we must develop approaches to lend more and more to the potential as well as the promising sectors so as to create more opportunities for employment of youth besides improving the overall economic wellbeing of the people.”
Thereafter, the Chairman also visited few Business Units of Bandipora district. The Chairman also assured full support to the business community and horticulturists of the area.
