J&K Against Corruption stages protest outside Raj Bhawan

JAMMU, Feb 17: The activists of Jammu & Kashmir Against Corruption today staged a protest dharna outside Raj Bhawan, Jammu against rampant corruption in the State at all the levels compounding miseries and hardships to the common man.
They raised slogans against the State Government for its alleged failure to check increasing corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. The dharna was joined by several prominent citizens of the State.
Addressing the protestors, speakers expressed concern over the revelations of several scandals involving dwindling of several lakhs of crores of public money by the politicians, Ministers and Parliamentarians badly shaking the faith of commoners in the systems and the democracy on one hand and bringing bad name to the nation on the other hand.
They underlined the need to carry forward the campaign to awaken the common masses against the corruption prevailing in every Government Department.  They also stressed the need to organise seminars, public meetings to educate the masses about their rights and duties.
Prominent among those who spoke and participated in the dharna include Sheikh Abdul Rehman (Ex MP), Sr Advocate Jamil  Kazmi,  Uday Chand, Rtd  Judge Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj, Rtd Col B S Chowdhary,   Amrit Varsha, Ram Singh Chauhan, Rtd Judge V K Atri,  KKRao, Preeto Devi, S Deep Singh, Pritam Gupta, DRSharma, Mohan Lal Sharma, Sunita Sharma, Rajesh Kesar and Ashwini Pradhan.
