J&K adds 24 fresh COVID cases

JAMMU, May 9: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 24 new COVID-19 positive cases, 10 from Jammu division and 14 from Kashmir valley.
As per the reports, maximum number of 5 Covid cases were reported from Jammu district, followed by 3 each from Udhampur, Bandipora and Shopian, 2 cases each from Samba, Srinagar, Pulwama and Anantnag and 1 case each from Baramulla and Budgam districts.
A total of 1,466 COVID tests were conducted in the Union Territory in last 24 hours. The number of active COVID cases in the UT as on date is 154–73 in Jammu division and 81 in Kashmir region whereas 32 COVID patients recovered today, 27 from Jammu division and 5 from Kashmir.
The highest number of 46 active cases is in Jammu district, followed by 24 in Baramulla, 13 in Budgam, 9 each in Ganderbal and Doda, 8 cases each in Budgam, Anantnag and Samba, 7 in Udhampur, 6 cases each in Pulwama and Bandipora districts, 5 in Srinagar, 3 cases in Ramban and 2 cases in Kulgam district.
