JAMMU, Sept 8: Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) has urged the State Government to give top priority to the educational needs of the people residing in Kandi belt and border areas of Vijaypur.
Addressing a press conference under the chairmanship of its president, the Federation members demanded to open a Government Degree College (GDC) in Vijaypur area so that the higher educational facilities could be provided to the youths of the area to enable them to compete with their counterparts of urban area.
The Federation members alleged that many students of border belt and Kandi belt have left their study after 12th, as due to increasing strength in GDC Samba and GDC Jammu, they fail to get admission.
Rakesh Sharma, Sanjeev Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Pardeep Choudhary, Tarsem Lal and Rajinder Singh Munna were among those who addressed the conference.
